Here we specialize in exporting high-quality cocopeat related products derived from the fibrous husk of coconut. Our Journey

The humble beginning

Dombewatta Fiber Mill was initiated as a small fiber mill by Mr. D P Keerthirathne laying a strong foundation for a long journey in the cocopeat industry. We continued to expand by developing 5 fiber mills by 2005.
1982

Became a major supplier for the largest exporter of the country – Hayleys

Owning five Fiber Mills the Dombewatta Fiber Mills, achieves a significant milestone by becoming the largest fiber supplier for Hayleys marking strong presence in the cocopeat supply chain within Sri Lanka .
2006

Diversification and Expansion

The business was handed over to second generation where Mr. Subodha took over the stewardship to further expand with the help of the strong base. Business was expanded vertically by forward integration to value chain; started collecting cocopeat from various fiber mills, establishing itself as a reliable supplier for major companies.
2010 - 2011

A vision takes root

Fuelled by a commitment to quality and a desire for greater impact, Mr. Subodha decides to establish his own cocopeat production facility. Taking a huge step forward Mr. Suboda established his own factory, laying the groundwork for a new chapter in the company’s evolution and creating the name Ceylon Rich (Pvt) Ltd
2015

Secure direct export orders

The establishment of the factory marks the entry of Ceylon Rich into the direct export market. The company initiated direct exports to countries such as Iran, Turkey, The United Kingdom and Japan.
2016

Present and Beyond

Mr. Subodha achieved a remarkable distinction as a young Sri Lankan entrepreneur to export cocopeat products directly, a testament to his commitment to establish and develop the business continuously. Ceylon Rich is determined to envision its future as a symbol of resilience, commitment and reliability.
